I've always hated color theory classes, but it seems I've got it engrained so I won't worry...I still think it would look better all blue, but I did it like this so I'm not gonna change it.
So anyways, Bunji Kugashira from the Gungrave Overdose time period. Nothing too major, it's just late at night, I had the computer on and no one I know is awake...and I just felt like playing around in Photoshop.
The colours in this are simply stunning - it caught my eye on the front page instantly. The way there is almost a faux-3d effect here is quite stunning.
The lighting in this piece is very well thought out, at least that's my opinion of it.
It gives it a pretty dramatic feel, maybe more on the melodramatic side.
The whole flame effect also provides as a good cover; we don't get to see all of his head, which gives our brain some room to fill out the "blank space" for ourselves.
It gives room for some creative interpretations; it'll differ depending on who views it.
I really don't have any negative comments on this one.. It's all good!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
