I've been wanting to draw something from this show for a long time now...I really have no idea why this is the first one I've been able to finish [or start].
So this is Kikuchiyo and his little friend, Komachi [though she gets a bit lost] from Samurai 7. I'm not great with mecha but he's much easier then most thankfully...and I love the design of his helmet/head. If I ever get a chance to draw any of the others, I'd like to give Heihachi or Kyuzo a try...those two and Kikuchiyo here would have to be the one's I most fond of [though I like most of the samurai]. ink drawing scanned and colored in Photoshop. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. Tots and Teens: The Children's Literature Contest --Amazing literature and amazing prizes!!
I loved the movie [heck, anything Kurosawa directed that Mifune's in I like]...And they were fairly true to the story, though the characters created originally for anime can get on the nerves real quick.
BTW...love the icon, the Marx brothers are incredible ^__^
